EXTERIOR
Exterior is very original. It has smooth aluminum skin which can be polished up to a mirror like shine.
Frame. Frame has surface rust but everything appears to be solid in areas assessible for inspection.
Dents damage and scratches. Has a big dent in the front driver side corner of the trailer. Other than this there are only very minor dents and dings.
Entry doors. Entry doors are original but are needing rebuilt.
Step. Has the original slide out step on the front door which is in working condition.
Front hoist. Has the original front hoist which is in working condition.
Hitch coupler. Has the original coupler which is in working condition.
Roof and vents. Has the original aluminum roof with one roof vent. The furnace vent is missing but a pan has been put over hole to keep water out.
Exterior lights. Has vintage marker lights but there are two different ones. Two are 3 inch circle lights and the other 2 are beehive type marker lights. All the lenses appear to be in good shape, the bezels have surface rust.
Tail lights. Original ones are missing but temporary LED tail lights have been added to the rear so it can be towed home safely.
Underbelly. I’m not sure if this originally had a enclosed underbelly but now it is only approximately 50% enclosed.
Windows. Has the original Marvel brand steel windows which some do have rust issues.
INTERIOR
Interior. The interior is mostly original however some of the paneling has been replaced. I believe the stove and furnace are not original .
Cabinet and closet doors. All appear to be there but some have wood which is delaminating. Catches. Has the original catches and hinges which are super cool.
Countertops. Original and in decent condition.
Floor. It’s solid in most walking areas but is bad on some of the outside edges.
Floor covering. Linoleum or carpet, both in poor condition.
Table. No.
Unit sleeps. Currently no beds but room for four persons.
Walls. Has birch paneling on walls and ceiling. There are several panels and wall studs that will need replaced due to water damage.
RUNNING GEAR
Has the original running gear with the exception of newer tires.
Axle. Has the original 4 inch drop axle with leaf spring suspension. Has surface rust but everything appears to be good and solid.
Dry weight. Approx. 2520#
Hitch ball height. Approximately 17 inches.
Safety chains. Yes.
Hitch weight. Approx. 250#
Hitch ball size. 2 inch.
Hubcaps. No.
Spare tire. No.
Tire condition. Has newer P205 75R 15 tires mounted on original non-split rims with six lugs on 5 1/2 inch bolt circle. I do not see any weather checking on the tires.
I would recommend that this trailer be hauled on a flatbed trailer rather than being towed on the road.
ELECTRICAL
Has the original electrical system with two automatic reset circuit breakers. Most of the lights and all of the outlets in the trailer do work. Entire electrical system should be checked by a certified expert before use
110 V lights. Yes, has three of the original wall sconces which are pretty cool.
12 volt lights. No.
Brakes. Yes. Untested.
Plug for exterior lights. Yes. Has four prong flat plug like most boat trailers use.
Porch light. The original lighted grab handle is in the trailer loose. It served as a porch light and a grab handle.
LP SYSTEM
Most of this is gone but should be replaced anyway for safety reasons.
Entire LP system and appliances should be checked by a certified expert before use.
Furnace. Yes. Has a Coleman brand wall type heater. Untested.
Gas bottles. No.
Gas lights. Has one gas light which is untested.
Gas regulator. No.
Range oven. Yes. Has a Coleman brand four burner range with oven. Untested
Refrigerator. Yes, has original Marvel brand 110 V refrigerator. Untested.
Water heater. No.
PLUMBING
Just has one copper line going to kitchen sink which has been cut. Plumbing system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.
Fresh water tank. No.
Kitchen sink. Yes, has single bowl kitchen sink with cool art deco style faucet.
Shower. No.
Toilet. No.
Holding tank. No.
MISC.
If you want a cool vintage camper with lots of character this one fits the bill, however, there is water damage on this trailer so it is going to take some work to get it back to its former glory. If you have not restored a vintage camper in the past, this one might not be for you. This trailer is priced very reasonable to move quickly.
