Product Description
SOLD C. D. #1130130002020
This trailer is being sold on consignment for a previous customer of Vintage Campers. The owner of the trailer has provided a description of the trailer below. We have posted tons of photos of the exterior and interior but if you have any specific questions we will try to answer them for you. Please call Dan at 765-473-8088.
“The interior was removed years ago and was replaced with a simple table and two carpeted platforms in the ends of the trailer. The only original pieces are the upper cabinets on the wall and the large closet over the wheel well. All of this can be easily removed if the time comes that you decide to build it to your specs. The floor is solid except for a spot under the window by the front platform. This spot is soft and will need to be reinforced/replaced.
The exterior has been professionally polished and clear coated by the best in the business. The clear coat not only keeps the trailer from ever needing re-polished; but also gives it an incredible “platinum” look. The classic “door in the door” screen door is in great condition and has been polished as well. The trailer does show some beauty marks from its 65+ years of life. It has some deep scratches across the bottom of the door. It also has a slight crease above the wheel well on the road side of the trailer. It is hard to see, and can only be noticed by the distorted reflection coming off of the trailer. We converted the hitch coupler to a modern 2-5/16” ball for added safety and convenience. We also added a new manual crank jack as well.
The trailer has its’ original rims; which we sanded down and repainted a bright white. The tires are weather checked, but have been holding air with no issues. We can assist the buyer with new tires if desired. The bottom front window and 3 side windows are missing the frame/glass. The bottom rear window glass is broken. The trailer weighs well under 2500 pounds and has no issues towing. It can be pulled behind just about any vehicle. At this time the trailer does not have lights or brakes hooked up. The buyer will need a set of temporary tow lights to tow the trailer home.
Included with the trailer are the original tail lights, corn porch light, license plate holder/light, running lights, and hub caps. This will allow you to refinish the light fixtures and re-install them or replace them with new ones.
