Description: The exterior of this Spartan is very original, very intact, and very straight. It has all the original windows, doors, and vents. It is built like an airplane with riveted construction for long life and durability. It also has aircraft grade aluminum, which can be polished up to a mirror like shine. Much of the critical restoration work has been done on this trailer with very little to do to finish. We are selling this trailer on consignment for our customer. Bumper, Frame, & A-frame: The frame appears to be good and solid in all areas accessible for inspection.
Compartment Door/Keys: No
Dents, Scratches & Damage: The worst damage on this trailer is a scrape behind the front door, which is approximately 36 inches long. The bottom wrap has your typical dents and dings. There are a few other small dents and dings but overall the exterior of this trailer is in very nice condition.
Entry Door/Keys: Front- It has the original style aluminum entry door with riveted construction and a cool porthole window. It has a couple of small dents in it but overall it is a nice shape. It has the original Bargman brand lock with a good handle. The lock is in working condition but we don’t have any keys. This door and window in door has newer seals. Rear- It has the original aluminum entry door with riveted construction. It has the cool porthole window. This door is in good shape but the edges are bent up a little. It has the original Bargman lock with good H-20 handle. This door also has newer seals on window and around door. No keys.
Entry Step: Both the front and the rear steps are missing but the brackets are still there. They are bent a little. We do have new reproduction steps available in our parts e-store.
Front Hoist: It has the original front hoist, which is in working condition.
Hitch Coupler: It has the original hitch coupler with a 2 inch ball. The coupler is in working order.
Roof: It has the original aluminum roof with riveted construction. This entire roof has been coated with gray rubber type roof coating. All four of the original aluminum roof vents are there. All the vents have newer seals and new operators for cranking up and down.
Screen Door: It has a wood screen door but is not the original one but it's still in decent condition. Rear- It has the original wood screen door. The screen door is in fair condition. The bottom section of wood is rotted and needs replaced.
Tail, License & Marker Lights: It has all four of the original KD 540 marker lights with stainless steel bezels and glass lenses. All glass lenses appear to be in good condition. It has the original Bargman trail-lite number 2 taillights. One light has the original glass lens, which is in good condition and the other one has a reproduction plastic lens. It has the original Bargman Trail-lite number 4 license plate light. Both the red glass lens and the clear cylindrical lens are in good condition. The chrome does have some pitting in it and the license plate bracket has surface rust. Separate tow lights have been added to the rear of this trailer so it can be towed home safely.
Underbelly: Old underbelly material which was deteriorated has been removed and entire underbelly has been coated with a high quality automotive grade under-coating.
Window Glass/Seals: It has all of the original 2 panel aluminum windows, which are in good shape and are complete with all hardware and screens. It has the original three Plexiglas windows in the front, which do not have any cracks but are scratched up and cloudy. We do offer these new windows made of Lexan on our parts e-store. It has the original roll down windows in the rear bedroom area and both have new felt lined channels. Both windows roll up and down fine. It has the original Marvel brand aluminum rear window, which is in good condition. All windows have newer seals. There is no broken, cracked, or missing glass .
INTERIOR
Description: The interior of this Spartan is very original and in very nice shape for an un-restored trailer. It has the nice birch wood interior for lots of warmth and character.
Cabinet - Closet Doors: This trailer has the original cabinets and closet doors, which are in good shape. There are a couple of them that have small chips in the veneer down low.
Catches: Original.
Countertops: It has the original kitchen countertops with a beige basket weave pattern with matching backsplash. The countertops are in decent condition but do show some wear.
Floor: The floor is solid throughout. New under layment has been installed so you can choose your own floor covering.
Floor Covering: New under layment.
Table: No, but there is plenty of room for a freestanding table.
Unit Sleeps: Room for 4-6 people to sleep but there are currently only twin bed bases in the rear bedroom area.
Walls: It has the original Birch paneling on the walls and ceiling. Most of the paneling is in nice shape. Small birch panel above the furnace does have some water stains.
RUNNING GEAR
Description: It has the original running gear with the exception of new tires and rims. The wheel bearings have been inspected and repacked.
Axle/Springs: It has the original axles and springs, which have surface rust but still appear to be good and solid.

Description: There is no couch or curtains that come with this trailer.
Bed/Mattresses: Just bed bases in the rear bedroom.

ELECTRICAL
Description: t has the original electrical system with a Cutler Hammer brand box with four automatic circuit breakers. All 110 V lights and outlets are in working order. Entire Electrical system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.
110 Volt Lights: It has vintage lights but some are original and some are not. All lights are in working condition.
12 Volt Int. Lights: No
Brakes: This trailer originally had electric brakes on both axles. I think the brakes are in working order but I cannot say for sure.
Breakaway Switch: No
Converter: No
Int. Fan(s): Yes, it has a new fan & motor in the bathroom. It has a fan above the stove but I am not sure if it works or not.
Plug for Ext. Lights: es, It has a 7 way Bargman brand plug. This is the same plug that most current trailers use.
Porch Light: Yes, it is in working order.
LP SYSTEM
Description: The LP bottles and rack is missing but it looks like the rest of the LP system is there. Entire LP system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.
Auto Changeover: Yes
Furnace: Yes, it has the original Coleman brand fuel oil heater. It is untested.
Gas Bottle(s): No
Gas Light(s): No

Range/Oven: No, but it is set up for a 20" gas stove.

Water Heater: Yes, it has a Speed O-Matic brand electric water heater, which is old but does still heat up.

Description: It has the original plumbing with copper fresh water lines and brass and copper drains. I did a visual inspection and did not see any cracked lines but I did find lines that were disconnected. Water system has not been checked with water. Entire Plumbing system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.

Kitchen Sink: Yes, it has the original two-bowl stainless steel sink with stainless steel counter to the right. The sink appears to be in good condition.
Lavatory: Yes, it has the original aluminum laboratory, which looks to be in good condition.

Shower: Yes, it has the original aluminum shower with riveted construction. It has been repainted and the paint is peeling but appears to be in good condition.

SPECIAL
Description: This trailer is in amazingly good shape for having never been fully restored. It was being used as a weekend retreat so it did get taken care of and maintained regularly.
OTHER
Description: his trailer will not need much work until you can take it out and start enjoying the great outdoors. It could be used as a tiny home, a guest house or whatever creative use you can think of. Vintage Spartans as nice as this one are getting harder and harder to find due to their popularity. I am convinced that Spartan are one of the highest quality trailer ever built. This one can be tastefully decorated to suit your personal preferences.
