EXTERIOR
Exterior is very original and mostly complete. Has the original doors ,the original windows and smooth aluminum siding. The aluminum siding has been painted at the rear of the trailer.
Frame and A-frame. Has 2” x 6” rectangular steel frame which has surface rust but everything appears to be good and solid.
Dents scratches and damage. There are no major dents or dings on this trailer but there are several small scratches on the skin and several screw holes from where a shelter was attached. We have filled these holes with sealer to help keep water out. The original rub rails at the base of the trailer were steel and are rusted badly or missing. We do offer new aluminum rub rails on our parts e- store.
Entry doors. Has the original entry doors. Both are in pretty good shape but the front door has a small 2 inch tear in the aluminum at the bottom. Both doors have the original Bargman brand locks but no keys. Both doors will need new seals.
Screen doors. Both doors have original wood screen doors which are in pretty decent shape.
Steps. Both doors have the original steps. The front one slides in and out fine and the rear one is all there and complete but seems to be froze up.
Front hoist. Has the original front hoist which is in working condition.
Hitch coupler. Has the original cast-iron hitch coupler with 2 inch ball. Coupler is in working condition.
Roof. Has what appears to be the original roof. It has been coated with a aluminum type roof coating and there are a few patches. There was a shelter built over this trailer so I’m not exactly sure of the condition of the roof. Since the interior ceiling is still in decent condition I would recommend adding a rubber roof in order to preserve the interior from future damage.
Exterior lights. Has all six of the original Dietz brand # 532 marker lights with glass lenses. All glass lenses appear to be in good shape. Has both of the original Bargman brand Trail-Lite #2 tail lights with glass lenses and stainless steel bezels. Both glass lenses appear to be in good condition. Has the original Bargman brand Trail-Lite #4 license plate light and bracket. The red glass lens and clear cylindrical lens are both in decent shape. Original lights are un-tested. Temporary LED tail lights have been added to the rear so the trailer can be towed home safely
Underbelly. Has the original underbelly which is 95% intact.
Windows. Has the original Woodlin style windows. All windows are complete with hardware and screens except one window is missing the window lever. All windows will need new seals. There are two windows with cracked glass which we have taped up to keep water out.
INTERIOR
The interior of this trailer is very original and pretty nice. It is missing several of the original light fixtures and original appliances. It still has the original two chairs in the living room which are very cool.
Cabinets and closet doors. Yes, original and in good condition . One cabinet door is missing in kitchen area.
Hardware. Yes, has original hardware which is in working condition.
Countertops. Has original countertops which are showing some wear.
Floor. Floor is solid in most areas there is a small spot by the front door which is a little spongy and it is a little spongy in the hall by the bathroom.
Floor covering. Has the original 9 inch tiles most are in fair condition but there are several tiles that are cracked or missing.
Table. No. But there is plenty of room for a freestanding table.
Unit sleeps. There is only one bed base in this trailer but there is room for up to 4 to 6 persons.
Walls and ceiling. Has the original birch paneling on walls and ceiling. Overall birch paneling is in very good condition. There are a couple of small areas where there are water stains mainly under the windows and by the furnace vent.
RUNNING GEAR
Has the original running gear. Wheel bearings have been inspected and repacked with fresh grease.
Axles and springs. Has the original four-inch dropped axles with leaf spring suspension. Springs and axles have surface rust but all appears to be good and solid. I would feel comfortable towing this trailer any distance.
Dry weight. Approx. 6330#
Hitch ball height. Approximately 20 inches.
Safety chains. No.
Hitch weight. Approx. 700#
Hitch ball size. 2 inch
Hubcaps. No.
Spare tire. No.
Tire condition. Has four brand new 7:00-15 LT bias ply tires with 10 ply rating. New tires are mounted on new silver mod rims with six lugs on 5 1/2 inch bolt circle.
FURNISHINGS
Bed/mattress. There is no mattress in this trailer but it does have the original wood bed base in the rear bedroom.
Couch. No.
Curtains. Some.
Has the original chairs and end table in the living room which are very cool.
ELECTRICAL
Has the original electrical system in it which has a series of glass screw in fuses. The 30 amp power supply plug was cut off so the electrical system has not been tested . Entire electrical system should be checked by a certified expert before use.
110 V lights. Has a couple of original lights in the rear bedroom but most the other original lights are missing.
12 V lights. No.
Brakes. Yes. Has electric brakes on both axles which are in working condition.
Breakaway switch. No.
Converter. No.
Interior fans. There is a fan in the kitchen area but it is untested.
Plug for exterior lights. Yes. Has brand new seven way plug like most current RVs use.
Porch light. No.
RV battery. No.
LP SYSTEM
It looks like most of the original LP system is missing. However, these items should be replaced for safety reasons anyway. Entire LP system and appliances should be checked by a certified expert before use.
Regulator. No.
Furnace. Yes. Has what I believe is the original Duo-Therm brand gas furnace. Un-tested. The furnace is missing the original vent on the roof. This has been patched over on the roof to keep water out so the furnace should not be tested until the correct venting is established.
Gas bottles. No.
Gas lights. No.
Refrigerator. Yes, has a newer non-original refrigerator which is in working condition.
Water heater. Yes. Has an electric water heater approximately 25 gallons which is untested.
PLUMBING
Has some of the original copper plumbing and some has been removed or replaced so plan on doing some plumbing on this trailer. Plumbing system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.
Fresh water tank. No.
Kitchen sink. Yes. Has the original 2 bowl kitchen sink. Porcelain is in pretty decent shape but has been touched up in a couple of areas.
Lavatory. No.
Holding tanks. No.
Shower. Yes, has tub shower combo.
Toilet. No.
Tub. Yes. Has the original steel tub which is 53” x 30”. Has the original faucets which are very cool art deco style faucets.
Water intake valve. No.
Water pump. No.
SPECIAL
This trailer is pretty nice for a unrestored trailer which is 70 years old. Yes, it will still need some work but will be one cool trailer once it is restored.
Owners manual. Yes. Believe it or not it still has the original owners manual along with some other papers.
