This trailer is being sold on consignment for one of our customers. It was restored by a individual up in Michigan approximately 6 to 7 years ago but was never used due to a death in the family.
EXTERIOR
The exterior of this trailer is very original, very intact and complete. It has a super cool breadbox style body. The entry doors have the cool porthole style windows with frosted glass. It has a light blue and cream colored paint job with darker blue pinstriping. The paint job is not show car quality but it’s still very nice looking.
Frame and a frame. Has a 2“ x 3 1/2“ box steel frame. There is some minor surface rust in a few areas but everything looks good and solid.
Dents scratches and damage. The worst damage on the trailer is on the front passenger side of the trailer. There is a dent and some paint scuffed off. It looks like someone might have turned the trailer too sharp and did a little damage. Other than this there are only very minor dents and dings which can hardly be seen.
Entry doors. Has both of the original entry doors which have the cool porthole style windows with frosted glass. Both doors have the original Bargman brand L 66 locks which are in working condition. New seals have been installed on door and window. Screen doors. Has the original style wood screen doors with what I believe is copper screens, both are in very nice condition.
Step. Front door has a very cool steel slide out step with the name “Silver Dome” stamped into it. Step is in good working order.
Front hoist. Has a newer front hoist which is in working condition.
Hitch coupler. Has the original hitch coupler which is in working condition.
Roof and vents. It looks like the flat portion of the roof has been coated with a silver roof coating of some sort. It appears that the curved or radius portions of the roof was coated with a bedliner material to match the blue paint on the trailer. There are a few cracks in this material. I believe this bedliner material can now be purchased at auto parts stores.
Exterior lights. It has the original round marker lights with glass lenses, all glass lenses appear to be in good condition. Has 2 newer flush mount Grote brand tail lights. Has the original Trail Lite brand license light and bracket. Both the red glass lens and the clear cylindrical lens are in good shape.
Underbelly. Has insulation type board which is all in pretty good condition.
Windows. Has the original Woodlin brand windows which all appear to be in good condition. There is no broken missing or chipped glass.
INTERIOR
The interior of this trailer is very nice. It has been tastefully redone but has retained most of the original features.
Cabinets and closet doors. Yes, and all have been re-finished.
Catches. Yes ,original and in working order.
Countertops. Has new laminate on original countertops.
Floor. Solid in all areas.
Floor covering. Has a newer sheet vinyl which is in very nice condition.
Table. Yes. Laminate on table matches kitchen countertop laminate.
Unit sleeps. Room for 2 to 4 persons.
Walls. Has newer Birch paneling on walls and paneling with vinyl coating on ceiling and radiuses. There is a half a sheet of ceiling panel behind the air conditioner that is bowed and de-laminating.
RUNNING GEAR
Has what appears to be the original running gear with the exception of new tires and wheels. The original wheels and hubcaps are in the trailer loose.
Axles & Springs. Has the original 4 inch drop axle with leaf springs. These have surface rust but all appear to be good and solid. I pulled the grease caps and there was fresh grease in the bearings.
Dry weight. 3000#
Hitch ball height. Approximately 16 inches.
Safety chains. Yes.
Hitch weight. Approximately 300#
Hitch ball size. 2 inch.
Hubcaps. Yes.
Spare tire. Yes.
Tire condition. Has two brand new ST225-75R 15 trailer tires which are load range E. Tires are mounted on new non-split white spoke rims with five lugs on 5 1/2 inch bolt circle.
FURNISHINGS
Has a small loveseat in the rear which folds out into a bed approximately 38“ x 72. Curtains. Yes
Dinette. Yes, dinette folds into a bed approximately 42 x 74.
ELECTRICAL
Electrical system has been upgraded with newer breaker box with three automatic reset circuit breakers and new wiring. Note: Has new 10-3 power cord with male plugs on both ends. This should be changed for obvious safety reasons.
110 V lights. Yes, has what I believe are most of the original light fixtures all in working condition.
12 V lights. No.
Brakes. Yes, and in working order.
Breakaway switch. Yes.
Converter. No.
Plug for exterior lights. Has a new seven way plug like most current RVs use.
Porch light. No.
RV battery. Yes.
LP SYSTEM
Yes, looks like the LP system has been upgraded with two newer 20 pound LP cylinders and new regulator and hoses.
Automatic changeover. Yes.
Furnace. Yes. Has what appears to be the original Panel Ray brand gas heater. The heater is mounted in the trailer but there are no gas lines run to it so I am assuming it is in there just for aesthetic purposes .
Gas bottles. Yes. Has two 20 pound LP tanks.
Gas lights. Has an original gas light that has been converted to electric.
Gas regulator. Yes.
Range oven. Has the original Davis brand combo stove refrigerator. It has four top burners which are in working condition and the refrigerator below is also in working condition.
Water heater. Yes has an older Mobile Temp brand gas water heater . Pilot light and main burner do light. 6 gallons.
PLUMBING
Fresh water lines and drains have been re-plumbed with new lines and drains. Freshwater tank has been added. Both sewer and waste water tanks were added but dump valves are in trailer loose. Water system has been winterized to prevent damage from freezing.
Freshwater tank. Yes.
Kitchen sink. Yes. Porcelain has one very small chip in it.
Lavatory. No.
Sewer holding tank. Yes. Dump valve is in trailer loose.
Shower. Yes. Has the original shower which is a wet bath system.
Toilet. Yes. Has a Thetford Aqua Magic RV type toilet.
Tub. No.
Waste holding tank. Yes, but it really needs to be replaced because the dump valves hung too low and the outlet of the tank broke out of the tank.
Water intake valve. Yes.
Water pump. Yes, has a Shurflo brand 12 V electric pump.
SPECIAL
This trailer has been redone and is ready to take camping. It is a nice small trailer with a very cool body style. It has a nice open floor plan.
Air-conditioning. Yes. Has a Duo-Therm brand roof mount air conditioner which is in working condition.
Awning. Yes, has a vintage type rope and pole awning. Awning fabric and poles are in trailer loose.
Microwave. No.
Sway control. Yes. Has a friction type sway control which is in the closet loose.
MISC.
