EXTERIOR
Exterior is very original and exterior skin is in very good condition. This vintage Spartan has riveted construction for long life and durability. It has aircraft grade aluminum that can be polished up to a mirror like shine.
Frame and A-frame. A-frame has some surface rust with minor pitting. Rest of frame has some surface rust also but overall the frame seems good and solid in all areas accessible for inspection.
Dents, scratches and damage. There is no major damage on the exterior of this trailer. There are only very minor holes, dents or dings. There is one small section of rub rail that is damaged. We do offer new straight rub rail on our parts e-store.
Entry doors. Has the original aluminum entry doors which are in good condition. Has the original Bargman brand L-66 locks which are in working condition. No keys. Has the original seals which should be replaced.
Screen doors. Front screen door is missing, however rear screen door is there and in good condition.
Steps. Yes, has both front and rear slide out steps which are in good condition with only minor surface rust.
Front hoist. Yes, but is froze up and needs replaced.
Hitch coupler. Yes. Has the original cast iron coupler which is in working condition.
Roof and vents. Roof is in good condition, does have some tar around a couple of the vents and where awnings used to be over the doors. All of the original vents appear to be there and in good condition.
Exterior lights. Has all four of the original beehive style marker lights with glass lenses. Glass lenses all appear to be in good condition. Has the original tail lights which are in fair condition. We do offer new stainless steel replacement lights on our parts web store. Has the original license plate light and bracket but is very rusty and needing replaced. Temporary LED tail lights have been added in the rear so that the trailer can be towed home safely.
Underbelly. Has the original under belly which is all aluminum. Has a few small holes but overall is in good shape.
Windows glass and seals. Has most of the original windows. Two of the windows in the living room have been removed and solid glass was put in. Most of the windows have operators and screens but a few are missing. There are some loose screens in the closet. All windows have original seals which should be replaced. There is no broken or missing glass. Front plexiglass windows are scuffed up and showing wear and popping out of gaskets. We do offer new polycarbonate replacement windows and seals on our parts e-store.
INTERIOR
Interior is mostly original except the original appliances are missing. There are some water stains and damaged paneling mainly underneath the windows. Interior ceiling height is 6' 7".
Cabinet and closet doors. Original and most are in good shape. There are a few that have chipped veneer.
Hardware. Yes, original, however many of the knobs are missing from the closet doors. Countertops. Yes, has the original countertops with matching backsplash which are lime green color with gray flakes. Countertops are in fair condition.
Floor. Previous owner nailed plywood over top of original floor so the floor will probably need work to fix it right .
Floor covering. None, just the bare plywood.
Table. No, but plenty of room for a freestanding table.
Unit sleeps. Only one bed currently but room for up to six persons to sleep.
Walls. Has the original birch walls and ceiling. Most of the paneling is in good condition but it will need to be refinished. There are some panels especially under the windows that will need replaced.
RUNNING GEAR
Original axles have been replaced with mobile home type axles. Wheel bearings were recently repacked by previous owner. Has four brand new 7 x 14.5” 12 ply bias tires mounted on original mobile home type rims.
Dry weight. 7625#.
Hitch ball height. Approximately 24 inches.
Safety chains. Yes.
Hitch weight. Approximately 800#
Hitch ball size. 2 - 5/16 inch.
Hubcaps. No.
Spare tire. No.
Tire condition. Has four brand new 7 x 14.5” tires with 12 ply rating.
FURNISHINGS
Bed mattress. Yes. Has 78” x 60” bed in rear bedroom.
Couch. No.
Curtains. Yes some.
ELECTRICAL
Has the original electrical system with breaker box with four automatic reset circuit breakers. Most of the 110 V lights are in working condition and all the 110 V outlets are working. The shoreline plug is missing. Entire electrical system should be checked by a certified expert before use.
110 V lights. Yes. Most are original but some shades are missing.
12 Volt Lights. No
Brakes. No.
Breakaway switch. No.
Converter. No.
Interior fans. Originally had 2 fans but neither one is in working condition.
Plug for exterior lights. Has a four prong flat plug like most boat trailers use.
Porch light. Yes. Has the original bell type porch light. Untested.
LP SYSTEM
Entire LP system and appliances should be checked by a certified expert before use.
Most of the original LP system is missing however these items should be replaced for safety reasons anyway.
Furnace. No.
Gas bottles. No.
Gas lights. No.
Gas regulator. No.
Range oven. No.
Refrigerator. Yes has a small dorm type refrigerator which is electric and is in working condition.
Water heater. No.
PLUMBING
Has most of the original copper lines for the drains but most of the original copper freshwater lines have been replaced with PVC pipe. Plumbing will need work as some lines do not go to all faucets. Plumbing system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.
Freshwater tank. No.
Kitchen sink. Yes. Has the original 2 bowl sink porcelain is in decent shape but has been touched up in several areas.
Lavatory. Yes. Has the original lavatory there are several chips around the drain. Holding tank. No.
Shower. Yes has the original tub shower combo, however shower faucet is missing. Toilet. Yes.
Water intake valve. Yes.
SPECIAL
This trailer will need some work but has lots of potential. It would be a great restoration project for the man or woman who can do most of the work themselves.
