EXTERIOR
The exterior of this trailer is mostly original and intact. This trailer is built like an airplane with riveted construction for long life and durability. It has the ribbed aluminum on the lower section which adds to its character. Has the original doors windows and vents. Frame. Frame has surface rust but appears to be solid in all areas accessible for inspection.
Dents scratches and damage. This trailer does have some exterior damage mainly in the rear of the trailer. All this damage is repairable.
Entry doors. Yes, has both of the original entry doors with original locks but doors are in pretty rough shape.
Step. Yes, has both of the slide out steps which are in working order.
Hitch coupler. Has the original hitch coupler, has surface rust but is in fine working condition.
Front hoist. Yes, has the original front hoist but it is not working.
Roof. Roof has some scratches and a patch but overall is in pretty decent condition. Exterior lights. Has all four of the original marker lights which are the beehive style with glass lenses. All glass lenses appear to be in good condition. Has the original tail lights which are in poor condition, we do have replacement lights on our parts e-store. Underbelly. Has the original aluminum underbelly. Has your typical oxidation but is all intact except for a loose panel in the front of the trailer.
Windows. Has the original windows with the original seals. There are several windows which have cracked glass, these have been taped up to keep water out.
INTERIOR
The interior of this trailer is mostly original and fairly complete. The interior is very dirty and in pretty rough condition but still very restorable.
Floor. Floor is bad in the front of the trailer and does have some smaller soft spots in the rear bedroom.
RUNNING GEAR
Has the original running gear with the exception of brand new tires and wheels.
Axles and Springs. Have surface rust but everything appears to be good and solid. Wheel bearings have been inspected and repacked.
Dry weight. Approx. 9340#
Hitch ball height. Approximately 18 inches.
Safety chains. No.
Hitch weight. Approx. 1100#
Hitch ball size. 2 5/16 inch.
Hubcaps. No .
Spare tire. No.
Tire condition. Has 4 brand new 7:50-16 bias tires with a 10 ply rating. These are mounted on new non-split rims with six lugs on 5 1/2 inch bolt circle.
ELECTRICAL
Has the original electrical system, we added power and most of the lights and all of the outlets do work. Entire electrical system should be checked by a certified expert before use.110 lights. Yes, some original and a few are missing.
Brakes. Yes, has electric brakes on both axles which are in working condition. Breakaway switch. Yes. Has brand new Tekonsha brand breakaway switch with battery. Converter. No. Plug for exterior lights. Yes. Has brand new seven way plug like most current RVs use.
LP SYSTEM
Most of the original LP system is missing but most of these items need replaced for safety reasons anyway. Entire LP system and appliances should be checked by a certified expert before use.
Range oven. No.
Refrigerator. Yes, we did turn it on but nothing happened.
Water heater .Yes. Has a Skelgas 20 gallon gas water heater. Untested.
PLUMBING
Has some of the original copper lines but some have been cut. Plumbing system and all appliances should be checked by certified expert before use.
Shower. Yes. Has a tub shower combo.
Toilet. No.
Tub. Yes. Has the large 60 inch long tub. Tub is in pretty good shape but there is one chip in the porcelain.
MISC.
This trailer is definitely a fixer-upper but for the person who has handyman skills it is a good way to own a Spartan without spending a fortune.
