EXTERIOR
Avion is a very high quality trailer and was Airstreams main competition back in the day. Many vintage camper enthusiasts, myself included, believe that Avions were built better than Airstreams were. This 1969 Vintage Avion has a very nice and original exterior with only a few very minor dents and dings. Has 13 panel front and rear caps which are in very good shape. It has riveted construction for long life and durability.
Bumper, Frame, & A-frame: All appears to be solid and in good shape.
Compartment Door/Keys: All original in good shape. Have keys.
Dents, Scratches & Damage: Has very few small dents and dings. Bottom wraps has some minor oxidation where the steel meets the aluminum and has your typical dents and dings.
Entry Door/Keys: Original door in very good shape. Has original Bargman lock. There is a 3\" shallow scratch approx. 8\" above lock. Have keys.
Entry Step: Original in working order.
Front Hoist: Has a newer front jack in working order.
Hitch Coupler: Original in working order. Spring is broke.
Roof: Has original aluminum roof vents in good shape. Large vent has new aluminum top. Roof is in good shape. There is roof coat across the center of the roof.
Screen Door: Original aluminum frame in good shape.
Tail, License & Marker Lights: Has original Dietz 6\" square taillights. Lenses are in fair shape. Someone has added 2 Bargman 6\" square taillights above the original ones. Lenses are in good shape. Marker lights are original. Lenses are in fair shape. 3 lenses have been replaced. Lights working in rear.
Underbelly: Has original enclosed aluminum underbelly with a few small holes and your typical oxidation. Has 2 - 8\"x8\" patches.
Window Glass/Seals: All windows and frames are original and in good shape. Has tinted plexiglass, except rear window has a glazed look plexiglass. Window operators are in working order. There are no cracked or broken windows. All windows have old original seals, but there is no evidence of any leaks.
INTERIOR
Has a very nice original and intact interior. Has a couple small spots of delamination on the cabinet and dinette booth by the door. Overall this is a very nice interior.
Cabinet - Closet Doors: All original in good shape.
Catches: All original in working order.
Countertops: All original in good shape. The trim going around the front is warped.
Floor: Solid in walking areas. there is 6" x 2' area by the entry door that is a little soft.
Floor Covering: Has the original whitish colored linoleum which is in good shape..
Table: Yes, dinette style table with 3 leafs in good shape.
Unit Sleeps: 6
Walls: Has vinyl coated aluminum walls creme color with goldish swirls in good shape.
RUNNING GEAR
In 2010, the bearings, brakes and MorRyde suspension parts were replaced and there has been limited use since then.
Axle/Springs: Has original MorRyde tandem rubber spring axle which has been rebuilt.
Dry Weight: Approx. 4000#.
Hitch Ball Height: Approx. 20".
Hitch Ball Size: 2 5/16”
Hitch Weight: Approx. 400#.
Hub Caps: Yes
Spare Tire: Yes, has good tread, but there is weather checking.
Tire Conditions: New tires in 2021.
FURNISHINGS
Has twin size bunk beds in rear, the top bunks will fold down to allow for more seating.
Bed/Mattresses: Has twin size bunk beds in good shape.
Curtains: Yes, yellowish gold color, except bathroom is white.
Dinette Cushions: Yes, in good shape.
ELECTRICAL
Has original Square D 4 breaker 110 volt box. Has original Progressive Dynamics converter to convert 110 volt to 12 volt to run lights, fans, and pump.
110 Volt Lights: No, all are 12 volt.
12 Volt Int. Lights:
Brakes: Yes, electric brakes new in 2010.
Breakaway Switch: Yes.
Converter: Yes, Progressive Dynamic converter model PD 709 in working order.
Int. Fan(s): Yes, 2 in roof vents, and 1 above stove and 1 in bathroom, all in working order.
Plug for Ext. Lights: 7-way Pollak brand. This is same plug current trailers use.
Porch Light: Yes, in working order.
RV Battery: No, has a box for one.
LP SYSTEM
Has original LP system with copper lines. Will need new LP pigtails.
Auto Changeover: No
Furnace: No
Gas Bottle(s): Yes, Has 2- 30# LP tanks but they were not on the trailer when the photos were taken.
Gas Light(s): No
Gas Regulator: Yes
Range/Oven: Original Magic Chef brand gas with oven and 4 burner stove in working order.
Refrigerator: Original Dometic brand gas and 110 volt in working order.
Water Heater: Original Bowen brand gas in working order.

Has original copper lines for fresh water and ABS/PVC for drain lines. Water system is untested.
Air Pump: Air Pump: No, has on demand system.

Kitchen Sink: Yes, original 2 bowl aluminum in good shape. This is a unique sink each bowl is a different size. Has a Moen faucet.
Lavatory: Yes, original molded sink top in good shape, but has a couple small stress cracks on top behind faucet.
Sewer Holding Tank: Yes
Shower: Yes, original in good shape.
Toilet: Yes, has a newer RV toilet.
Tub: Tub/shower combo.
Water Intake Valve (City): Yes
Water Pump: Yes, newer Shurflo brand.
SPECIAL
This is a very nice, original and intact vintage Avion. Has a very nice exterior with very few dents and dings. Has a really nice interior. This trailer has been taken care of and will not have to have much, if any, work done to it before you can enjoy camping with your family. This trailer has been stored inside a heated shop for the past 15 years.
