This is the bracket or cross brace that goes to a Spartan 12” x 16” roof vent. If your vent bracket is missing or all bent up, or you need to replace the vent operator, this part is what you need. It is made from .040 aluminum. It is 15-5/8” long and 2-1/4” high. The original vent operators are almost always bad and need to be replaced. It is much easier to replace the operator and the bracket rather than having to drill out the rivets for the old operator then re-locate the holes. This bracket is already pre-drilled for the new retrofit vent operator which we sell. Using this new bracket with our new retrofit operator the hole in the screen for the vent crank will be in the correct location. Here is the link to our retrofit vent operator CHW002.
